Nyungwe National Park is the largest intact rainforest that remains within East Africa. Its high elevation is home to Chimpanzees as well as a dozen other primates. This most beautiful rain forest is also home to stunning flora and fauna not seen anywhere else in Rwanda, hosting over 100 species of orchids and over 270 species of birds.  While in Nyungwe you can also visit one of the rivers that is a source to the Nile River. Nyungwe is a paradise for hikers, botanists, birders, photographers and those that are longing to get out of the city.
